The journey of exploring the theme park in Seoul, South Korea continues.
Because theme park is
love, the next day after Everland, we went to Lotte World and had an awesome experience but this time, we ensured
that we have enough time to try at least majority of the rides on which we
succeeded because we have been tried on some rides and attractions twice. The
#AutumnInKorea squad had a wonderful time at Lotte World – hashtag tired but
happy, indeed! And of course, this couldn’t possible if we didn’t book our LotteWorld pass prior to our planned trip. KKDay
is one of my go-to tour and activities online booking sites whenever I’m out of
the country. Well, it is proven and tested since my Taiwan trip. 😊

Meanwhile,
Lotte World is a major recreation complex in Seoul, South Korea.
It consists of the world's largest indoor theme park, an outdoor
amusement park called "Magic Island", an artificial island inside a
lake linked by monorail, shopping malls, a luxury hotel, a
Korean folk museum, sports facilities, and movie theaters. Yes, all of
this in one location, so you can imagine how accessible and how you can
maximize your time as well as itinerary in a day without transferring from one
point to another destination.
Welcome to the Lotte World Adventure! |

Adventure Island and that huge ice skating rink. |
As I mentioned, it is divided into 2 portions – the indoor and outdoor theme parks; named Adventure and Magic Islands – where a lot of attractions are can be enjoyed. At Adventure Island, The adventures of Sinbad, The Conquistador, Flume Ride, Camelot Carousel, Giant Loop, Drunken Basket, 3D Desperados, Lotty's Kidstoria, Treeble's Hopper, Kids Bumper Cars, Swing Pang Pang, Boong Boong Car, Brother Moon and Sister Sun, Eureka, Jumping Fish are the attractions located at the first or ground floor, which mostly fits for children with age ranges from 3-8 yrs. old but of course, it is suited to every kid-at-heart. At the second level of Adventure Island, rides are for young adults who seek thrill and an adrenaline rush, here you can ride at French Revolution – a high-octane roller coaster that rotates 360 degrees and even up to 540 degrees in some parts. It passes through the building and since it is indoor, it gives an illusion of you might hit the building. Also, a bumper car recommended to adults (with at least 140 cm in height) is available at this level.

World Monotrail |
The first attraction that I’ve enjoyed located at the 3rd level was the World Monotrail, it took us to Lotte World – both inside and outside – scenic view from Adventure Island and then passed by at the Magic Island, gave us a whole view of the theme park. That’s why I rode it first because I wanted to check where to go first. Of course, I was mesmerized by Lotte World Castle in Magic Island as soon as I saw it. 😊
In addition,
Jungle Adventure, Folk Museum are also present at this level. Wait, there is more,
Pharaoh’s Fury, A multi-motion
ride where passengers aboard a Jeep and travel through ancient Egypt. The
passengers feel as if they were right at the steering wheel as they go on a
1 km-long ride. Aeronauts Balloon
Ride, Dynamic Theatre and Animal Theatre are waiting for everyone at the fourth
level of the indoor building.
Magic Island
castle's always magical, right? |
Adventure Island has a lot of attractions, right? Well, there’s more exciting activities
at the Magic Island. 😉 The Magic
Island was dressed up like we were at a Zombie world, well, it was Halloween season
during our visit last November 5, 2019 thus, the theme. After a series of photo
ops at the Lotte World Castle, we lined up for Atlantis Adventure – a steel
roller coaster and is themed to the lost city, Atlantis.
Afterwards, we headed to Ghost House, it was quite
scary though. One of the interesting rides at the Magic Island is
the new attraction where you have to wear VR goggles for more thrilling experience
and also gives a simulation of a futuristic landscape during the elevation
sequence, after completing a short rotation at the top, the seats will be
dropped, halting to a stop at the base – Gyro Drop. And similar to that which
is located next to it is the Gyro Swing, similar to the indoor ride but with a
rotating end where participants are seated. There’s also a Comet Express, Bungee
Drop, Zamperla Mega Disk’O among others.
the infamous carousel of K-drama's "Stairway to Heaven" |
After some photos were being captured - we enjoyed everything that Lotte World has to offer. Thus, we don't have photos of some attractions and rides. 😉
Did you know…
- Lotte
World was one of several locations used for filming the Korean drama “Stairway
