Another scary creation from Yam Laranas, The Road will be showing on the big screen starting November 30, 2011.
Last night, I was invited to watch a horror movie that made me not to scream but made me think on what had happened to the killer past life for him to kill ‘till the present time, however, the film didn’t fail to amazed me and made my heart beat faster. Kindly watch the trailer below so you may have hint on what is the story all about.
The Road is a story about a twelve-year-old cold case, which is reopened when three teenagers go missing while traversing an infamous and abandoned road. As investigators try to find leads to the whereabouts of the missing teens, they also unearth the road’s gruesome past that spans two decades – a history of abduction, crimes and murders. Although the road is isolated, anyone who tries to pass through it can be sure that he is not alone. Lingering in the dark and desolate pathway is a vengeful ghost who makes sure no one leaves the road – alive!
Known for his unorthodox brand of film-making, “The Road” director Yam Laranas (Sigaw/The Echo) promises to treat moviegoers to a fresh new approach to horror.
The story was great, interesting and intriguing that made me more focused on the movie so that I won’t miss anything. It’s my first time to watch a horror movie that the actor and actresses are not just screaming all throughout the scenes.
I love the “The Road” simply because it’s not the usual horror movie. I would say that Director Yam Laranas is indeed a very good director – no more questions ask – Yam Laranas is Yam Laranas. And The Road story line was well-directed!
I would not talk too much because I don’t want to be a spoiler here, so better watch out for it and see for yourself. “The Road” stars Carmina Villarroel, Marvin Agustin, Rhian Ramos, Barbie Forteza, TJ Trinidad, tween stars Alden Richards, Louise delos Reyes, Derrick Monasterio, Lexi Fernandez, Ynna Asistio and Renz Valerio.
Also starring in the film are John Regala, Lloyd Samartino, Gerald Madrid, Allan Paule, Dex Quindoza, Ana Abad Santos and Ms. Jacklyn Jose. So once again, The Road will be on the big screen starting November 30, 2011 under GMA Films.
No One Lives… THE ROAD!

Aylin
