SM City North Edsa: “Chinese Street Food Festival” in Sky Garden in Celebration of Chinese New Year 2012

Kung Hei Fat Choi! In three days, we will celebrate the Chinese New Year, Year of the Water Dragon. I am no Chinese blood but I like and love how the Chinese celebrates their New Year – Festive, Colorful, Noisy and Happy – this is to entice an abundant, prosperous and full of energy and positive life. Thus, I also celebrate Chinese New Year to attract good vibes and bring some good luck as the year 2012 goes by!
Aside from the grand celebration of Lion and Dragon Dance, I also enjoy Chinese food! And please continue reading to see what I have discovered at SM City North Edsa Sky GardenChinese Street Food Festival! The Chinese Street Food Festival has started last January 17 and will end on January 23, 2012. During this duration, you have an opportunity to explore and taste some authentic Chinese Street Food from the five participating Chinese food outlet such as Govby’s Food, Little Fellas, My Red Basket, Siomai House and last but not the least, the Chicken Deli (which is more of authentic Filipino food)!

Here are some of the foods that I enjoyed eating during my food adventure at Sky Garden, SM City North Edsa.

Chicken Deli. The first food outlet that we’ve encountered since my blogger friends and I started our foodie adventure from The Block (also part of SM City North Edsa) going to SM North City Annex. They have the best chicken inasal in Bacolod and they’d decided to bring the Bacolod cuisine here in Manila, so that Manileño can also taste the Special Batchoy and Chicken Inasal. Furthermore, there are chicken inasal and barbecue meals that are available for as low as P45.00.

Govby’s Food and Little Fellas. Here were the foods that we’ve eaten – Hongkong Noodles with Shark’s fin Siomai, Shabu-shabu and Siopao.

Hongkong Noodles Preparation: 1. Fry the noodles. 2. Add "Togue" (optional) 3. Add Sesame Oil
4. Add Soy Sauce 5. Mix, wait for atleast 10-15 seconds and afterwards put in the container
6. Choose your toppings - Siomai, Shark's Fin, etc. (I chose Shark's Fin)
7. Add Sauce to taste - Teriyaki, Peanut, and I forgot the other 2 sauces.
8. If you wanted a little bit spicy, add chili sauce! That's it!

The Red Basket and Siomai House.  A kind of typical Chinese food outlet with lots of Pork & Shrimp Siomai, Beef Siomai, Marcon and Siopao

A gluttony day of Chinese Street Foods! But wait there’s more; Tikoy and charm are popular when Chinese New Year is coming, thus, SM City North Edsa is way more generous because for every P500 worth of purchase you will be entitled to have a FREE CHARM BRACELET (promo runs from January 22-23, 2012) and for every P1000 worth of purchase you’ll have a FREE TIKOY (promo runs on January 23, 2012)! If I were you, I’ll just drop by at SM City North Edsa and do a little shopping!
As their theme song goes, “ Here at SM, ♪ ♪ we got it all for you ♪ ♪!”  They really had everything we needed and we wanted! Moreover, a very innovative corporation that always creates something that full of surprises! ツ

Thanks Azrael of Azrael's Merryland for the invite.
