Advocacy: Naomi Jewelry Tied-up with World Vision

Uno Magazine brings you the third installment of a series of events held at the Genting Club, Resorts World Manila dubbed “Renaissance Woman by Naomi,” on Friday, February 3, 2012. This event is in cooperation with Naomi Jewelry for the benefit of World Vision.

To further boost Naomi’s commitment to helping the cause of World Vision, Joel Paguio, COO and head designer of Naomi Jewelry has decided to create a limited edition piece for World Vision to be launched via a special fashion show featuring Naomi endorser Lara Quigaman, Uno cover girls Aubrey Miles, Kat Alano and Michelle Quizon and World Vision ambassador Miriam Quiambao.

The fashion show “Renaissance Woman” would portray the place of women in today’s society. The modern woman is stylish, strong and powerful yet maintains her femininity in everything that she does. This event is supported by Resorts World Manila, Genting Club, Naomi, NX Couture, World Vsion, Chivas, Campoverde Country Estate, Victoria Court, Gold’s Gym and Great Cut Salon.

NAOMI, wearable art pieces
When jeweler Joel Paguio ventured in the jewelry business in 1997, little did he know that he would be in it for good. Starting out with a modest store along Jupiter St. in Makati, he later decided to move the shop to the burgeoning Ayala Center where his designs would in no time attract a steady flow of customers. He personally chose the name “NAOMI” after his eldest daughter. It is also synonymous to class and exotic bearing.

Some of the Naomi pieces:
Six years ago, the De La Salle- educated jeweler had the foresight of opening a new store at the SM City North EDSA, aware of the mall’s vast potential growth. Today, Naomi has moved at SM Megamall. He regards this as his most audacious moves in a career that goes back from his youth in Meycauayan.
Coming from a clan steeped in the craft and commerce of the jewelry- making trade, Joel Paguio’s life revolved around his gift to convey his inspiration into an art form - jewelry design.

His boundless flow of creativity and continuous search for something extra ordinary did not go unnoticed. Several awards and citations from different fashion award-giving bodies had given him recognition. Even designers from known shops abroad commissioned him to design some of their pieces. One of his proud works was the making of the crown and tiara of a well respected religious couple in Asia.

NAOMI has well- trained personnel, thus maintaining high standards of quality service to match its magnificent array of jewelry.
