A Gastronomic Feast at Eagle’s Den Café

Howdy Guys! It’s Monday and Starbucks, once again, has its Happy Hour! But due to the long line at Starbucks, RCBC Plaza it leads me to decide to go back to the office and just make my own coffee (well, Nescafe Gold with the right mixture of creamer and sugar also tastes like Starbucks Coffee, Ha-ha).

Meanwhile, last 28th of April, I together with some of my blogger friends went to Aguila Beach Resort to unwind and feel the heat of summer. Well, summer means beach and Aguila Beach Resort is one of the beautiful places to spend summer with and of course what is a trip without food? That’s why a gastronomic feast at Eagle’s Den Café is a perfect combination to have a very relaxing and pleasurable holiday vacation. Good place with a good food like Eagle’s Den Café is indeed bliss!
Eagle’s Den Café
Eagle’s Den Café is related with the well-known catering in Batangas – Aguila Catering Services. I know if you are from Batangas and/or Batangeño or love tripping and eating at Batangas, I am sure that you know what I am talking about, because they already exist for more than a decade. Their staff combines years of diverse catering skill together with restaurant cuisine to offer us a great and succulent food in a unique settings. They trained their cooks and even their Baristas in order for them to serve us only the best and satisfy our cravings.

So let’s go with the yummy feast! Quite sinful but still its flavorful taste made an exemption on my diet (I just can’t say no to these mouthwatering cuisines.). So without further ado, here are the foods that we gobbled down.
Cripy Pata | P350
Good for 4-6 persons.
Sinful yet irresistible! Crunchy and Crispy!
Baked Tahong | P120
Good for sharing.
The cheesy and freshly baked tahong.
Mangoes
Sizzling Pusit | P170
Good for sharing.
Marinated in a special sauce. The taste is quite perfect because it is not oily nor too sweet.
Sizzling Pork Sisig | (I forgot the price but i think more/less than P200)
Good for 2-3 persons.
Beer please! Ha-ha. Well, I like their Pork Sisig, it is not too oily and doesn't have the
"nakakasawa/nakakaumay" factor. I would highly recommend this for "pulutan."
Fish Fillet | P120
Good for sharing.
The soft, firm and creamy fish fillet plus the carrots tidbits that add color and
appeal to my taste buds is so delicious.
Shrimp Tempura | P180
Good for 2-3 persons.
Who can say NO on Shrimp Tempura? I loved their shrimp tempura and
I liked how tasteful it was because I don’t need to dip it on a sauce to
add taste which I usually do on other restaurants I’ve been with.
Well, I must say that the nice plating also describe how luscious the food is.
Lechon Kawali | P130
Good for 2-3 persons.
Flavorful and Crispy yet firm Lechon Kawali.
Calamares | P180
Good for 2-3 persons.
Their Calamares is not the usual rounded squid coated with flour;
it seems that they cut the squid not the usual way, which is rounded.
I just don’t like the over-breaded squid though.
Grilled Tilapia | P95
Good for one person.
The freshness of the Tilapia gives the good taste and the meat is not flaky and mushy.
Lomi | P150
Good for 6-7 persons. But the normal servings that they offer is good for 2 persons for only P60.
The must-try merienda of Eagle's Den Caf
é.
For the drinks we had these refreshing shakes. Perfect for a hot summer.
Mango, Cookies 'n Cream, Chocolate and Strawberry | P80

And of course the great ambiance is a big factor in choosing a restaurant.
Can you spot my current obsession?
My verdict: I liked the sumptuous food that we feasted. Everything served to us was fresh and succulent. I will surely try their other dishes whenever I come back to Anilao, Batangas. The service was great, the staffs were so friendly and readily-available to assist us whenever we need or ask something. I loved the cozy and classy ambiance while on the beach of Eagle’s Den Café.
