I’ve watched the
Back2Back Ultimate Concert of Edwin McCain and Taylor Dayne held last night
(June 01, 2012) at the SM MOA Arena. Though, it was my second time to enter on
that huge indoor stadium. The first one was last week and we were toured The
Arena, to be posted soon. And the idea of going to The Arena to watch the
Back2Back Ultimate Concert was an awful experience.
I’ve known Edwin McCain during my high school/college
days for his hit songs “I’ll Be,” “I Could Ask For More,” and many more. He has
a soothing and calming voice that makes every woman loves and falls for him. He
did a great performance on the concert last night. He sung the major hit single
in 1998 “I’ll Be” and the crowd joined him singing the song that made him
grateful and proud with our fellow countrymen.
On the other half of the concert, before Taylor Dayne performs,
local OPM Artist JayR sang several OPM love songs (3-5 songs I guess!). The
only downside of the concert’s program was the idle time during the shifting of
the performers. Well, I hope that they added an extra activity to fill the
15-20mins break.
Meanwhile, Taylor Dayne is the original singer of the
song “Love Will Lead You Back,” wherein our very own Sarah G did a very good
rendition. She is also the voice behind the hit songs “Tell It to My Heart,” “I’ll
Always Love You,” and “Can’t Get Enough of Your Love.” Moreover, she still has
an awesome voice after years had passed. She did a very great performance
during the concert. Truly an artist!
Well, if Edwin McCain made the crowd sang with him,
Taylor Dayne made the head bangers stood up and danced as she sang groovy and
rock songs. On the other note, hoping that The Arena will improve their sound
systems as it was not pleasing to the ears of the viewers. There’s always room
for improvement though. Technical difficulties (in terms of their sounds) can
be bearable as of now because The Arena is still at their soft opening. The Back2Back Ultimate Concert itself was awesome and it was a blast!
Have a Safe and Dry Saturday Night!
still i didn't like the sound output, knowing that it's a foreign act.. high end audio equipment went to waste with an awful acoustics design..
