If
you wanted to escape on a busy metro to unwind or even to have a “me-time” but
not making your wallet crying out loud because of the costly getaway, then
Daranak and Batlag Falls could be your perfect destination to unleashed your stress
and have some time for yourself, family and
even friends. Daranak and Batlag Falls are located in Brgy. Sampaloc,
Tanay, Rizal, a 2-hour drive from Metro Manila, a relaxing weekend spree
at a very affordable price.
See
the beauty of nature on this government-owned park, which is also a part of the
Laguna watershed. For only P20 Entrance Fee and P350+ rental fee of the
cottages you will enjoy the tranquility of the place. By the way, you have to
bring your own food for you to nosh-up since there will be no available comfort
food within the area. Overnight is prohibited.
Ohhh-some! Serene. Beautiful. Breath-taking. Daranak Falls has a picturesque view that will
definitely wash-away all the negative mantra that you have throughout your life.
Daranak
Falls is most likely of the “pang-masa” area, well, because of the super-duper
cheap entrance fee most of the people are staying here, crowded/peak hours starts
at 10am onwards.
But
if you wanted a little more private vicinity, on the top of Daranak Falls,
Batlag Falls is situated. But then, additional charges are applied. You may
refer on the photo above for the additional fees.
Yeah,
what you read/seen is right, there’s another entrance fee for you to enter the
Batlag Falls.
But
if you see the scenic view of the Batlag Falls you would totally forget the P50
you’ve paid for.
The place is soooo clean and the water is hmmm… cold! Batlag
Falls is cleaner and cozier than the first one though Daranak Falls is much
bigger than the latter one. At Batlag Falls you can have an overnight stay.
I
super love this place! Clean. Serene. Fresh. Big. A very beautiful gift from Mother
Earth!
Oh
boy, this place is also remarkable to me because this was the place where
my first-ever photo-shoot with a professional model took place. Of course, a big thanks to Ailes and
friends for having me on this awesome place. A great place with a very great
people is indeed a great moments to be remembered!
How
to get there?

Private Vehicle
Just
follow the road going to Laguna from Antipolo. At the Daranak-Tanay Junction,
turn left and head straight uphill. If you see the sign “To Daranak Falls” at
the left side of the road, turn left. Go straight, passing by several farms (which
are noticeable thru its smell). At the end of this road you will reach the
parking area of Daranak Falls.

I've been there once when I was a kid. I think there's also a cave near that falls but I forgot the name of the cave.
ReplyDeleteIt's so pretty.
This is actually a great pitch, as I only live not too far from Antipolo. This would be great for a potential family outing. :)
