I
was invited to a styling event last month (November 10, 2012) held by Araneta
Center in line with the new flavour of Dairy Queen – the Black Forest. Well, it is really a season of Christmas where
holiday cheers can be found all over the place even on the food and dessert!
Yes? Lemme talk about my first ever styling gig courtesy of Araneta Center and Dairy Queen with a theme of Black Forest. At first, I was nervous
about because I haven’t try doing it not even once but knowing how professional
the models and how supportive co-bloggers were, butterflies on my stomach has
been gone instead it was being replaced with so much excitement.
We
were gathered at the Gateway Suites, Araneta Center for us to be oriented on
what we were going to do and to select randomly our model. To be honest, my
partner Helen and I were hoping and praying that our model must be a female
since it was our first time and having a thought that gal was way easier to
dress up than a guy. But fate didn’t permit us to, instead gave us Enrique as
our model for the Dress Me Up Part 2 Challenge. ^_^
Meanwhile,
the models were at the make-up/dressing room while us, bloggers, was doing the pull-outs
clothes and stuff for our chosen model from
different boutique inside Gateway Mall such as Sebago, Marks & Spencer,
Promod, Parfois, Marithe Francois Girbaud and many more. It was quite exciting
and thrilling because having a male model has limited options. Choose here and
there. Not this. Get that. Looks Cool. So Black Forest-y vibe. Blah-blah-blah.
So what we got, for the Look No. 1 :
…
and Look No. 2:
Excited
to see how it looks when Enrique wore these outfits? Here it is, as also posted
in Araneta Center Facebook
Page.
Enrique
is sooo cute, fun, energetic and also supportive to us that’s why we were so
lucky to have him as our model. Ha-ha. Here the photo below was our “walk with model
and stylists” category. Haha. Cute. Though we didn’t win on the Dress Me Up
Part 2 Challenge like Aisa and Ana (Grand Winners), Rovie and Arnie (2nd
Place) and Ace and Sai (3rd Place) I’m still a winner on my own,
winner of having this glamorous and fun styling experience, to worked with
fellow fashion bloggers, and of course to styled professional models like
Enrique - these are the most important things.
Furthermore,
we were also the first to taste the new Black Forest Blizzard from Dairy Queen’s
classic soft-serve syrup vanilla ice cream blended with maraschino cherry, cherry
syrup, chocolate chunks with more brownies and cocoa fudge which is available
in 9oz (P89), 120z (P109) and 16oz (P129). Black Forest Moolatte which is
available in 6oz (P59) & 12oz (P109) and Black Forest Blizzard Cake for
only P799 are also available in all Dairy Queen Stores.
Before
I end my post I would like to thank Araneta Center and Dairy Queen for inviting
us over and Ms. Kath for organizing such cool, fashionable, exciting and glamorous event
like Dress Me Up Part 2. Looking forward to the Dress Me Up Part 3. ^_^
Hugs
& Kisses,
They look so cool! You should've won the contest!
