Miss Philippines Earth 2014 Kicks off at SM Supermarket Megamall

The beautiful candidates of Miss Philippines Earth 2014 take over SM Supermarket Megamall and the Mega A Event Center to show everyone just what “beauty for a cause” was all about last April 2. 2014. More than beauty and brains, delegates of the Miss Philippines Earth have green advocacies that separate them from the rest of the pageant world.

But before the main program started, the Miss Philippines Earth 2014 Candidates started with a singing contest. The challenge was in every pairs of candidates they have to look for SM Supermarket shopper to sing along with them.

Though, the task was a bit easy because customers were more than willing to participate. Who would say no to these beautiful ladies, by the way?

After an hour a dance number was performed by the beauties and as well as the staffs of SM Supermarket. Well, this is quite entertaining wherein they attracted more shoppers to watch them.


Miss Philippines Earth 2014 candidates also joined for a cause, M.O.B. As we all know, SM Supermarket, SM Hypermarket and Savemore Market serves as a platforms for the Miss Philippines Earth 2014 in spreading environment awareness among shoppers as they hosted several pre-pageant events. It gives a healthy boost to SM’s pioneer campaign for reusable bags. Join the M.O.B (My Own Bag) encourages shoppers to reuse their shopping bags.

Delegates also serves as ambassadresses of the SM Greenbag, the first reusable bag in the country, who encourages more and more shoppers to choose to reuse. Hand in hand, the partnership between the SM Food Retail Group and Miss Earth continues to bring us closer to a cleaner and greener tomorrow. Meanwhile, SM’s green path to the crown will spread environment awareness across thousands of people that go the stores. There are fun games, exciting trivia and an exhilarating presentation especially prepared by the girls are all spread across a schedule that optimizes their time as they compete to become this year’s Miss Philippines Earth.

Furthermore, the delegates will take on SM’s Cooking Challenge at SM Supermarket and SM Hypermarket Fairview on April 11, do good deeds on Easter Sunday also at SM Supermarket and SM Hypermarket Fairview, and join the 5-day Sale to promote green initiatives at SM Supermarket San Lazaro and SM Hypermarket Bicutan on May 2. The grand coronation night is on May 11 at the Mall of Asia Arena.

In addition, let’s be more responsible in helping our Mother Earth to be greener, cleaner and healthier.
