As summer capital of the Philippines, Baguio is one of the places that Filipinos and tourists mostly visit. Aside from its cool breeze, the nature vibe is one of its characteristics that everybody looks forwards. With that said, others also settle there. Admit it; Baguio has its own kind that we always long for, a 5-hour drive via a private vehicle and 6-7 hour drive via public transportation.
In line with that, The
Residences at Brent also make sure that aside from those characteristics it
still connotes the home-y feel that everyone of us look for. I am also grateful
that I witnessed the grand launch held at Nova
Gallery, Chino Roces, Makatiy City last December 2, 2014. It was dubbed as “Come
Home to Baguio”; the launch of the Hackett
Hall of The Residences at Brent teased us to experience a gist of the total
Baguio experience. From the sumptuous healthy banquet by The Sexy Chef, Cordillera music played on the background with
flowers and pine cones which titivated Nova Gallery where the launch was held,
it almost felt like Baguio.
The highlight of the event was the traditional Tapuy Wine Toasting patterned from Ipitik Festival wherein the first few drops of the wine were spilled on the ground as an to Kabunian, the highest of deities to exhibit gratitude over the success of the first building and the continuous blessings felt for the launch of the second. As we started the celebration, Mr. Charles Rapaport, Trustee of the Brent International School did the welcome remarks. The momentous ceremonial wine toasting was led by Mr. Joaquin Buenaflor, Vice President and Treasurer of Willowtree Development Corporation; and Mr. Kevin Garcia, Marketing Officer of Willowtree Development in native tongue.
