Howdy Guys and Gals! My apologies if I've been in hiatus for so long. It’s just that life at work becomes more hectic and
busier than usual. Plus, weave been implementing lots of new rules at work 'which includes non-access to Wi-Fi via mobile phone, my current location at the
office has the worst signal (no, I am not exaggerating things, to those who
gradually calls me during my work hours - “Sorry, the line is choppy.”- had already
heard that line. An access to social media such Facebook, Instagram, & Twitter
are also limited… err… what I've meant is a no-no already. Well, I am nothing against with it as it connotes change for the better. And I guess it is for
everyone’s career growth and the likes.
Meanwhile, I have already posted some reasons why you should visit Cavinti,Laguna, Philippines here. It was also the start of my travels for 2015. I
am aiming for a weekly travels if budget and schedule permits me to. Praying
and hoping though. Moving on, it was my first time to visit the place – Cavinti – in Laguna. I never knew that
it exist, well, I do sometimes hear it on television but I thought that the
person mentioning the place was pertaining to Cavite. Oh well, now I know!
Cavinti is a third class municipality in the province of Laguna, PH. Situated
at the eastern side of the province and along Sierra Madre mountain range.
During our getaway, our first stop was
the Bumbungan Eco-Park. Going there was a 30-minute drive from Sta. Cruz,
Laguna and taking the route of Lumban-Caliraya-Cavinti Road. Well, it is easy
to find so when you get lost, just ask a local. Bumbungan Eco-Park has an environmental
protection fee of P10/day or P20/night. Cottage is also available for only
P150/day or P200/night if you wish to bring your own food and setup a picnic
along the Bumbungan Falls. Well, it is a small falls where water comes from the
overflowing Bumbungan River going to Cavinti River to Cavinti Falls. There’s
also a wet bridge on top of the spillway where I found myself running and
goofing around. Well, there’s always a kid-part-of-me whenever I travel. The
water was as cold as water that came from the refrigerator. The environment was
so calming and serener. And by the way, there were also people who do the
laundry beside the river.
Get ready to get wet and play with the cold water!
