Woohoo! One of the most exciting experience that I have
tried this year was surfing. Yay, it is now off on my bucket list and look
forward for another surfing getaway in San Juan, La Union, PH. The experience was
amazing and I guess it is one of the “Aaaah” and “Oooh” that I would cherish
for my whole life. The scar that left on my knee due to some mishap during the
learning is worth it. And whenever someone asks me where I got that I am
happily elaborate what was happened and yeah, that was all fun.
Meanwhile, surfing also connotes with proper gears to
avoid unnecessary circumstances. And good thing that there are Reef products that
comes handy because they are available in most of the shopping malls and
establishments that we usually go to. Reef was formed in the early 80’s by
Agentinian brothers Fernando and Santi Aguerre. Combining their strong
entrepreneurial spirit with their passion for surfing, the broters built Reef
as the top sandal brand in La Jolla, California. Their innovative sandal
design, the Striped Smoothy, known for its bold stripes and comfortable foot
bed, has become a classic and continues to be a top seller.
Thus, knowing this on the event that I have attended on
which they showcased their new collection through a fashion show was a bliss. It
was wonderful to know that wherever you’re up to, whatever you’ll be doing,
there’s a brand that will support you all the way. Well, I am into the lookout
of the new summer gears and must haves and I guess all I need is with Reef.
Yey! Reef’s fashion collection features Swellular Technology that debuts with a
documentary on the Filipino surfing lifestyle. With the travelling surfer in
mind, Reef presented its latest men and women’s collection.
More so, during the event, the trailer of the surf documentary film “Surf 7107: La Union” - A film by Jay Ortega, written by Jay Ortega & Alia Vargas, created for and produced by Ark Trends Inc in partnership with Reef was shown. Surf 7107: La Union is a documentary produced by Reef that follows Filipino surfers in La Union.
The positive impact of surfing in a small town where one of the country’s first surf schools was opened becomes evident. The community thrives as it grows into a tourist destination with surfing as the key attraction. There are job opportunities for surfing instructors as schools open, not to mention the related business generated from these activities. With that said, kindly watch the video below.
Reef products are available at G-Force Trinoma, G-Force SM Cebu, G-Force Ayala Cebu, G-Force Bonifacio Highstreet, G-Force Centrio Cagayan De Oro, G-Force Greenfields Sta. Rosa, G-Force Harbor Point Subic, G-Force Mall of Asia, G-Force Shang Ri-La, G-Force North Point Bacolod, G-Force Mactan Pueblo Verde, G-Force Abreeza Davao, G-Force Mega Mall, G-Force Marquee Mall Pampanga, and G-Force Newport.
