A Quick and yet Sweet Staycation at Best Western Plus Hotel in Subic

Gee… when life gives you a hard time, well, I suggest, taking a pause and booking a room in a hotel for a quick and yet sweet escape from the bustle and hustle of the metropolitan. I bet, you’ll be having a great time and would surely have the much needed break away from the chaos. And that’s exactly I did last week, when work life seems to be at its busiest and challenges were keep coming, my brain was not already functioning due to migraine, I know precisely what I needed to do – a quick getaway!

It was an answered prayer, yeah even stay-cations and hotel accommodations are part of it, my main reason is to have time to relax and keeps me motivated, to reflect and be thankful for all the blessing He showers on me. I couldn’t contain my excitement when I got an invitation the night before the said getaway, He gave me a great place to enjoy an overnight stay and more than what I prayed and wished for. Thank you, Papa God!


Welcome to Best Western Plus Hotel, Subic!

Furthermore, Best Western opens a new hotel at Dewey Avenue, Subic Bay Freeport Zone in Zambales that would let guests and vacationers to splurge on world-class amenities, the Best Western Plus. Well, who wouldn’t know Best Western, anyway? They’re known worldwide and having a logo with a crown already connotes that you will be treated as royalties. More so, Best Western Hotel in Subic is the first carrier of their new logo – Best Western Plus – “plus” that would give each guest an extra oomph on their hotel experience which announces last December 3, 2015.

With that said, let me tour you on my designated hotel room, Deluxe Queen. The room features 2 queen-size beds that come with soft and comfy white sheets. It has a 40-inch work desk and a safety deposit box for your valuable items which placed inside the closet. To those who can’t live without television and wanted to keep posted with what’s happening around, a 42-inch High Definition Samsung TV is available with cable so that you may enjoy your favorite programs and news channel without any disruptions. Universal electrical outlets are also present to power up your gadgets and devices. For those pet lovers, the room also fares with a pet-friendly room environment so that you may bring your adorable pet. Here’s more, Best Western Plus Hotel also offers a FREE international and local calls. Yeah, you read it right, free calls abroad and also have FREE Wi-Fi. Luckily, our room has balcony, too!

It was already around 3 in the morning when I fall asleep because I took the opportunity to spend a night in the hotel’s infinity swimming pool in the roof top having a great view while enjoying some beers and a glass of red wine. It was absolutely the break I’ve been dreaming for and I was glad that I was one of the few who were able to experience the hotel’s amenities firsthand.

It was an unexpected stay-cation, thus, checking-in with an incomplete stuff was expected but not the norm for me whenever I travel. Good thing, hygienic toiletries such as toothbrush & toothpaste, shampoo & conditioner, body soap, and cotton buds were available on my spacious bathroom with a stunning floor tile details. Girls, hair dryer and mirror when doing your make-up are also present. Plus, there’s a bidet! Hooray! (",)

Planned to have an early morning walk, but the room’s cold temperature made me stay in bed ‘til 8 o'clock in the morning, just in time for breakfast at Spencer Restaurant. It was a delightful meal! They offer American and Filipino Style breakfast. Of course, I had my bacon (the one that I’m always looks forward in every breakfast that I’ll be having while in a hotel stay-cation).

After breakfast, we headed to Ocean Adventure! Best Western Plus Hotel also partnered with different Subic attractions and one of them is the Ocean Adventure. It was my first time that’s why, I was thrilled and enthralled of how it’ll turn my day to an awesome one and it deserves to have a separate post, so stay tuned, please!

Meanwhile, my stay-cation was unplanned and it turns out wonderful. Thank you Best Western Plus Hotel, Gab and Sirikit for making this sweet escape a hassle-free and giving me a quick and yet perfect escape from the busy life in the metro. You’re the best!
