I love Wednesdays simply because it connotes
that a week has coming to an end and more celebration of life is about to start
on weekends. But what if, Wednesday also deals with having a gastronomic feast over
the comfort and soothing taste of your favorite Gossips Moscato Sweet Lips or Montes
Chardonnay? I know right, it is an absolute heaven!
Luckily, I was part of the Wine Wednesdays that happened, of
course on Wednesday last week, at The
Wine Museum where friends and fellow wine enthusiasts were gathered. Delectable
foods were served and overflowing wine and spirits were up for grabs! And this
was just a glimpse of what will be the look and feel of the 16th Grand Wine Experience, in a
simpler setting though, happening on November
4, 2016 at The Grand Ballroom of
the Marriott Hotel Resorts World Manila,
Philippines.
And here’s a little trivia: Did you know that there are more than 5,000 known grape varieties in
the world today? But only a chosen few can be considered to belong to the
class of “Noble Grape” based on its reputation, source, and
quality. These “chosen few” will be the hallmarks of the upcoming 16th Grand
Wine Experience! So ladies and gentlemen, it is one-of-a-kind night
for everyone! With over 500 eminent wines and spirits to choose
from and a buffet as lavish as it is endless, oenophiles and epicureans will
bask in the majesty of the country’s most prestigious and most extravagant wine
and spirits event.
with the beautiful ladies behind Grand Wine Experience
Among the 'Wine Wednesdays' featured wines and spirits were Camus VSOP, Hennessy XO, Glenmorangie, 10 YO, Patron Tequila Silver, Alfonso Light, Johnnie Walker Red and Johnnie Walker Black, Montes Cab Sauv, Montes Chardonnay, Yalumba Y Series Chardonnay, Gossips Moscato Sweet Lips, Stolichnaya Red, and more. In addition, I am more than thrilled to indulge with Montgras Reserva Carmenere, a deep ruby red wine that shows complex aromas of fresh ripe currant and blackberries with spicy notes surrounded by subtle touches of vanilla and mocha from the oak ageing that goes very well with sweet and sour dishes, home stews, duck liver, pasta, chicken and even with oily fish dishes – better try it with Indian and Chinese cuisine; and Guntrum Riesling, which is more likely of my taste – elegant and classical Riesling scent, paired with aromas of tropical fruits such as green apples and citrus, pineapple and lemon with a great balance of sweetness and acidity.
With that having said, I am more excited to experience the 16th Grand Wine Experience. So, kindly read on what it stores for us to this great and grand upcoming event.
