Mothers
are responsible for the quality of life that the family enjoys at home---and
yet they tend to neglect themselves in the fulfillment of their roles. They
give care and attention to every family member including the spouse, children,
sometimes even parents, and other extended members of the clan. At the same
time, some mothers also work to help put food on the table and pay the bills.
In a way, they are subjected to stress that their spouses or husbands do not
experience, because they have to balance running a business and/or working in
the office, to creating a happy home life. After office hours, they still have
to help the kids with their homework or make sure they are well taken cared of
and the husband, too, needs her support and affection. Mothers tend to give a
lot of themselves---and because they are self-less to a point that they almost do
not care for themselves, they subject themselves to stress. This is when the
effects of aging set in.
Dr.
Lalaine Salazar, Medical Director of the SvelT’i Health and Beauty Centre in
Timog Avenue, Quezon City, explains why mothers should pamper themselves
especially on Mother’s Day: “Mothers can
look their radiant best on their special day this May, thanks to a
cutting-edge, non-invasive skin-rejuvenating technology called Revlite. Skin
conditions like melasma, the effects of aging like mild
wrinkles, and fine lines can be reduced, if not removed, to be replaced
by healthy glowing skin that will make these wonderful women look younger than
their age. Other conditions that Revlite can treat are acne marks and
pigmentation.”
Dr.
Salazar continues, “Sometimes mothers
forget to look after their skin and apply basic skin care principles, or expose
themselves frequently to the sun when they shouldn’t. The consequences of this
neglect accumulate over time and lead to conditions like melasma, pigmentation,
and acne marks. Some of these conditions could have been prevented, but the
mothers are too busy taking care of their loved ones to watch after their own
health.”
Revlite, as offered by SvelT’i, goes a long way in removing
those awkwardly visible medical conditions and restoring the skin to its
youthful health. It is a revolutionary Q-Switched ND:YAG laser that features PhotoAcoustic Technology Pulse
{PTP} that offers a wide-range solution to remove melasma, unwanted pigments,
fine lines and wrinkles, and marks.
Tattoos that mothers once had done during their younger years and now wants
removed can also be slowly be made to vanish by the laser technology.
Revlite works on the
pigmented lesions through the photoacoustic energy that targets the brown spots
by producing a special wavelength of light that is being absorbed by the
pigments. The light vibrates and breaks down the pigments into tiny particles,
which in turn are absorbed and gradually eliminated by the body's natural
process. The spots will appear lighter with each treatment and eventually
fades.
For skin rejuvenation, the light energy is made to pulse over the skin targeting the support structure underneath its surface. This stimulates production of new amounts of
collagen resulting to reduction of wrinkles and improvement of fine lines with
no downtime and discomfort.
“The
entire process can take only 30 minutes and it is done in very comfortable
conditions,” enthuses Dr. Salazar. “Because it is not intrusive, the patient needs no down time in order
to adjust. After the treatment, she can go back to work, finish her chores at
home, or shop in the mall with her family. More important, the results can be
seen only after one session. Some of the pigments fade considerably. We do recommend continuity in order to
maximize these results.”
One benefit of using Revlite is that it restores
the mom’s self-confidence in herself as she feels her newfound vitality and
rediscovers her own authentic beauty. That joy radiates and spills over to her
relationships, empowering her to infuse her home with more care and
affection---but this time, escaping the ravages of stress and radiating her
best self. It is a Mother’s Day’s self-treat that can last for a long time.
