It was Friday in the morning at around 3:00, right after-my-not-so-normal work hours,
when we headed up north. Been travelling to central
part of Luzon since January (thru Lakbay
Norte 8) and that was already my second time to visit Clark,
Pampanga this
year, but this time to witness the Frontrow International Hot Air Balloon Festival. Unfortunately, the weather was quite not
cooperating, it’s been raining hard ‘til dawn that’s why there’s no hot air
balloon bound to fly. But seems like the gods and goddesses heard my high hopes
of riding in one of those big balloons just like what I saw in the movies, the
weather calmed, the sun showed up though still windy but just enough to air the
balloons and flew as high as 500 meters above the ground while being tethered,
to kept them from flying away.

Voila, I was up, up and away, off the ground with a 360-degree
view of Clark Global City. Though, the ride lasted for almost 15 minutes, that
was an amazing experience, my heart was filled with so much joy and
gratefulness. I couldn’t contain my happiness that as early as 9 in the
morning, I already capped the day off feeling fulfilled and
accomplished.

Meanwhile, the Frontrow International Hot Air Balloon Festival brought people together from all walks of life. With an estimated range of 50,000 to 70,000 people - kids, teens, adults, travelers, foodies, hot air balloon enthusiasts, among others - joined the fun as the sky was dotted with animals, happy faces, with other flying objects alongside the classic stripe hot air balloons. Aside from that, there were also activities on the ground like the usual food tripping as there were stalls and kiosks of your favorite Pampanga food fares, shows and activities for the kids with their favorite cartoon characters. In addition, the country’s hottest music idols and singers with Pampanga’s bands took the stage during the 3-day festivities - Slapshock on Friday, Kamikazee on Saturday, Ely Buendia, Hale and Unique Salonga on Sunday.

Car and motorsports enthusiasts also gathered for some major events
such as National Drift Championship, Slalom Racing, Philippine Auto Cross
Championship Series, Philippine Rally Cross Series and Motorcycle Stunt Show.
Truly, it was a festival loaded with so much adventure, adrenaline rush,
dazzling aerial attractions and fun-filled activities of and on the ground.

The Frontrow International Hot Air Balloon Festival was hosted
