#TravelWithKKDay: N Seoul Tower and a Fun Tour at Hello Kitty Museum

It was already night time when we reached Namsan Tower also known as Seoul Tower and N Seoul Tower. Right  after our light snack slash early dinner at Gwangjang Market to experience eating live octopus, we went straight to the communication and observation tower located on Namsan Mountain in central Seoul, South Korea. N Seoul Tower marks the second highest point in Seoul and country’s first general radio wave tower, providing TV and radio broadcasting in Seoul. Today, the tower broadcasts signals for Korean media outlets sich as KBS, MBC and SBS. Of course, your South Korea trip wouldn’t be complete without visiting this famous landmark and see the city from the observatory. More so, N Seoul Tower is divided into three main sections – N Lobby, N Plaza and the N Tower. On which, N Plaza is consists of two floors while the N Tower consists of four floors.

N Lobby – holds the N Gift, N Sweetbar, BH Style, the Alivie Museum, Memshot, Nursing Room, Information booth, a café and the entrance to observatory. Since it was already nighttime, we just headed straight to the ticket booth located at the N Plaza section which has 2 floors where ticket booth, food court, light garden, grass terrace, souvenir shop, Hello Kitty Museum, among others are located in the first level. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to visit the “Locks of Love” located at the 2nd level of the N Plaza due to time constraint. At the ticket booth, I was advised that there will be 45 minutes waiting time because of the number of visitors on that specific timeframe. Good thing, our voucher comes with a tour at the Hello Kitty Museum so, while waiting, we explored and discovered the world of Hello Kitty and be amazed of its cuteness. I booked our N Seoul Tower Observatory Ticket & Hello Kitty Museum Ticket at my ever-trusted booking site, KKDay, for only ₱485 per person. Booking an activity or tour ahead of time for a hassle-free experience is very much recommended especially, if it is your first time. Well, in my case… it was –  #AutumnInKorea was a first for me. Aside from that, you also save money because KKDay has discount on the activities and tours they offer… and yes, it is way cheaper than buying ticket on site. You may visit KKDay website here for more activities and tours. Your welcome! 😊

    Hello Kitty Museum

Hello Kitty is all about cuteness and being so adorable. Upon entering the museum, we were stamped by a Hello Kitty face on our hand and handed with Hello Kitty’s souvenir items, then we entered to the loveable world of Hello Kitty. Basically, I entered to Hello Kitty’s house – a hallway with photos year by year of Kitty’s. Then the family’s living room where Hello Kitty’s family picture can be seen – there’s Thomas, George White, Mary White, Kitty White, Mimmy White, Margaret White, Anthony White, Tippy and Fifi. Also, Joey and Lorry are also part of the frame. One of my favorites though was the kitchen, seems like that even I don’t cook, but having this fancy kitchen will make me a pro. 😊 The beautiful bedroom with Kitty’s piano were picture perfect corner. The dining area was loaded with pastries and colorful food for the whole family. Another favorite of mine was the area where I wrote and doodled my well wishes for my loved ones and hung it there. At the exit, there is a souvenir shop for all Sanrio products – of course, Hello Kitty is the highlight. Gee… it’s always fun to be a kid.

    N [Seoul] Tower

The N Tower has four floors: 1F, 2F, 3F, and 5F  and did you know that most buildings in South Korea avoid having fourth floors? That’s an interesting fact. At N Tower, there are four observation decks (the 4th observation deck, which is the revolving restaurant, rotates at a rate of one revolution every 48 minutes), as well as gift shops and two restaurants. Most of the city of Seoul can be seen from the top. Close to N Seoul Tower is a second lattice transmission tower. The tower offers a digital observatory with a 360° panoramic view that showcases Korea's history through 32 LCD screens. This is located on the third floor of the N Tower. Since it was night time then, I saw the city well-lighted. It felt like I was above the stars that glisten. Well, the view could be better at daytime though so you can vividly see the city from above.

    Did you know that…

Namsan Seoul Tower lights up the city with colorful illuminations. The city of Seoul uses the Tower lights to indicate the level of air pollution so that it can quickly and easily reach the public. The lights are BLUE on clear days while it is RED when the level of air pollution high or when micro dust warning has been issued. When the Tower lights are red, refrain from outdoor activities and wear a mask if you need to go outside. Guys and gals, keep an eye out for Namsan Seoul Tower illuminations for your safety and to stay healthy. Well, you can always see N Seoul Tower wherever you are in Seoul because of its great location.
