When we
decided to go to Sagada, Mountain Province to experience the cool
weather… we agreed on the usual agenda – it should be 1) relax and chill kind
of getaway; 2) no itinerary; and 3) back to No. 1. So, after we freshen up, we
headed out and explore the area – well, basically we just walked along South
Road, which is the Sagada Town Proper, and from there we tried different cafés
and restaurants because over-the-weekend trip means food tripping and splurging
on local cuisines that is not available or not easy to find in Metro Manila. Here
are the must-try café and restaurant that we tried in Sagada, Mountain Province.

Sagada Lemon Pie Café
Our first
stop was at Sagada Lemon Pie Cafe to have a light snack and try their famous
lemon pie and opted to paired it with a hot cup of Sagada brewed coffee. The
lemon pie tastes heavenly good, not too sour nor too sweet – definitely, a
perfect blend. I also love how homey the ambiance of the café is that you can
even have to sit on the floor while munching on their pies. By the way, best for
pasalubong or takeaway.
Sagada Brew House
Serving
was quite long so you need a lot of patience waiting but oh boy, it’s worth the
wait. I ordered Sagada Brew Pasta tastes so delicious and flavorful that was
able to finish even after having a light snack at Sagada Lemon Pie Café. The
serving is good for sharing though. Friends had had rice meals with brown rice
(well, I think all restaurants in Sagada served brown rice 😊) It is a bit pricey but they are serving healthy food
fares so yeah, it ranges fro, Php250 – Php270 for rice meals while pasta ranges
from Php170-Php250. They serve infused
water with lemon and cucumber. Perfect for health-conscious traveler.

Bana’s Café
They got the best view while enjoying a hot of coffee nor iced coffee paired with muffin or cake. So, if you feel like reading books or doing your online whatnot – then, this is the best place I would recommend. I had Bana’s Black Coffee and Ube-yema cake that perfectly fit for each other. The bitter taste of coffee and not so sweet cake blended so well. Great coffee, great food, great ambiance (plus, great friends) is what Bana’s Café offers.

Sagada Strawberry Café
Sagada
also known for yoghurt and Sagada Strawberry Café didn’t fail us to have that
yoghurt experience when in Sagada. We had yoghurt with mango, strawberry and banana
sold at Php80 each. It tastes yummy and creamy while the fruits add flavor onto
the yoghurt.

Yoghurt House
Since it
was already lunch time when we got there – we chose meals suited for lunch. I
had baked mac and clubhouse while others had spaghetti and chicken meal.
Also, a bit pricey as it ranges from Php170-Php250, but the serving is good for
two persons. Yes, it is good for sharing. What I like about Yoghurt House is
that, the presentation and plating look very simple and yet, the taste – it is so
palatable and satisfying.

… if
you are on a budget, Chow Restaurant is like a cafeteria or canteen but aside
from they sell food at a cheaper price with big servings and not quite a cozy place,
but the foods were appetizing and savory. We love the chicken and pork soup, by
the way! An underrated place that is worth to try, they have plenty of viands
to choose from – great for groups.
