Meanwhile, as I am browsing all the photos on my drive, I found this – a staycation with the girlfriends at The Farm at San Benito in December 2018. We have been friends for almost
8 years, with an up and downs, did businesses and now, managing our own businesses on the side, has its own tantrums but we chose to stick around and be friends. We are not seeing each other more often but whenever possible we scheduled a trip in or out of the country once or twice a year and this trip at The Farm at San Benito located in Batangas was one of the many staycations that we already had.
relaxing view |
We’ve been eyeing The Farm at San Benito for years because of its luxurious aesthetics and of course, luxury also means being costly… so it was always put on hold then and just went on various trips on which we felt more valuable not until Y (who happens to own a travel agency) went to a Travel Fair held at SMX Convention Center…
The Farm at San Benito was at 50% OFF for a 3days/2nights stay at Anahaw Family Villa - a packaged good for 4 persons with breakfast! The next thing we knew – we were going to that five-star, eco-luxury holistic medical wellness resort located in Lipa, Batangas in December. 😊

The Farm at San Benito is a 90-minute drive south of Manila, Philippines. It rests on 48 hectares of lush green jungle, with a stunning view of the majestic mountains, pure and fresh air with clear and positive life-giving energy radiating around the property. It is a wellness resort, so everything was invigorating, refreshing, and rejuvenating. A wonderful place to have that sweet escape and bond with your love ones.
Despite of an early call time we arrived late; it was already dark when we reached the resort. Due to Christmas rush, the traffic was insane plus we dropped by at a friend’s house to have lunch because it was there town fiesta. He cooked the best sisig, by the way, so I cannot say NO. Aside from that, he has been inviting me for years for that occasion so yes, I dragged the friends.
The villa was inspired
by the traditional natural grace of simple, classic Philippine leaf-roofed
houses with a unique loft design, the villas are nestled in the hillside
overlooking a stream. Anahaw Family Villa’s comfort is a popular family-style
accommodation with an area of 50 square meters.

Check-in was quick and they allowed early check-in if the
room is already available. Bringing of food is not encourage as they promote
healthy fares and vegan lifestyle. Though, we managed to bring some healthy
snacks and wines for our three days consumption. Breakfast was not satisfying
for us because the gourmet food was all vegan with calorie count thus, we opted
to ate outside the resort. There were so many restaurants nearby and way affordable.
Though, the food served at the Alive! Restaurant was perfect for detox and a
perfect way to start a healthy living.
fun times at the poolside |
We relaxed, chilled, and did non-stop chitchat about love, life, future, investment, migration, and whatnot under the moon and stars. Soaked at the pool by nighttime and laugh out loud about random topics until the staff would come to us and asked us to lower our voice. And whenever it happened, we were on silence for a while and then… we just went back to our villa as we could not contained our laughter.
What I liked about The Farm at San Benito, was that, everything was calming and in peace. Ideas were just popping out; they were free flowing like a river. All things were beautiful – the bird’s chirping, the peacocks were roaming around outside our villa and at the resort, the resort itself was a sanctuary. They also have activities like Yoga, or you can join the Power Walk, an energizing way to finish up your daily movement activities – it is a guided walk on a 4.7KM to 6KM sunset power walk in and around The Farm and surrounding towns. We skipped these activities as we were lounging by the pool most of the time.
And so, before an ibid goodbye at The Farm San Benito, we had
our mandatory photoshoot for keepsakes. It was a luxurious sweet escape and fun
times with the girls, indeed!
