Amusement park is a must whenever I travel, because, why not? So, it is included on our Japan trip last year (2019). FUJI-Q Highland is almost two hours away from Tokyo via bus and with that, we tried to wake up early and leave on our Airbnb home as early as we can, considering the travel time of going there. It happened, we arrived at the bus station before lunch however, we did not anticipate the bus schedule. So, we waited for an hour for the bus at Shinjuku Station and just laughing out loud on ourselves for being spontaneous. Good thing, 7 Eleven is everywhere that we could always buy snacks and ate ‘til our chubby cheeks popped out. 😊 Perks of having your best travel buddies on a trip – no drama just fun. By the way, prior to that trip we already bought our ticket online to ensure that we have tickets and we can get through at the entrance.
FUJIYAMA |
FUJI-Q Highland is one of the most popular amusement parks in Japan located in Yamanashi, near Fuji Five Lakes and the foot of Mt. Fuji. Yes, you can have the stunning view of Mt. Fuji while on the rides and screaming out loud. The park has approximately 40 different fun rides and attractions and some of them holds Guinness World Record, and they keep surprising us with new attractions which opens constantly. The funny part of this adventure was that, we only tried 3 rides out of 40. *wink*

Mt. Fuji |
As soon as we arrived and after a few picture takings, we headed to FUJIYAMA – the king of coasters! Well, the goal is to go to FUJI-Q Highland and conquer the tallest and fasted roller coaster in the world. Whew! We lined up and waited for our turns and while waiting, we heard screams whenever it was on the track. It’s getting louder as we were getting near… I was nervous and scared and having second thought but if your have friends to have your back… the next thing you know…
you already conquered it. 😊
“Close your eyes.” – words I always utter whenever I am afraid of heights and most of the time, it works!

Fujiyama - King of Coasters was opened in July 1996 as the tallest (79 meters) and fastest (130 km/hr) roller coaster in the world. Since its debut, it has led the “ Shrill Attraction coaster of the world” scene, and as a royal road coaster with no overturn, it is still very popular as the “King of Coaster” that boasts the world's highest class specifications.
excited for what's inside once we pass thru on that gate |

I love this kind of colors |
During the climb to its peak, it was climbing very slowly that adds the fear knowing that you will be drop as soon as it reached the peak, but before all the thrill, there’s Mt. Fuji that looks like teasing or cheering you – I prefer the latter. After that, I really don’t know what happened next specifically, but what I can remember was I was yelling, shouting, screaming and at the same time, laughing. Seems like my soul was being left at the peak but as soon as the long course of twists and turns ended, my soul reunited with my body. It was one-fun-hell-of-a-ride!
