It was a bed weather but it didn’t stop me to went out and witnessed the grand launch of The Gourmet Lounge located at WalterMart E. Rodriguez Avenue, Quezon City that held on July 14th. The Gourmet Lounge is an event’s place that caters three restaurants namely, Nord’s, Monga and Siobee Roasters. The place can accommodate small events as well as intimate functions such as birthday, family and friends’ gathering and I would say, team meetings or work seminars; equipped with sound systems, TV for visual presentation which can be used for 3-hour minimum with a minimum seating capacity of 24pax. And… what would be the event seems like without food, right?

Hence, The Gourmet Lounge offers a consumable amount P8,000 to P12,000 to be consumed at any of their three restaurants - Nord’s, Monga and Siobee Roasters. The only thing you need to think of is which is which because the three restaurants have an equally sumptuous dishes – from Filipino, Chinese to Taiwanese cuisines – an Asian cuisine in one place! Please note that menu customization is also considered for advance reservation.
And to give you and idea what is waiting for you when you visit The Gourmet Lounge anytime soon, kindly read on. Yes, they are not just an event’s place you can indeed go, visit the restaurants, pig-out and enjoy the food. My first thought when I got the taste of their offerings was – I, now, have an option whenever I crave for Chinese and Taiwanese dishes.
The triple decker clubhouse tasted so good and comes with coleslaw and fries. And good for sharing, well, I think most of the food servings are good for sharing because most of what I ordered were perfect to be shared. Oh, for the refreshments – a go go avocado shake is a must try!
Fried Brocoli! – that was the first thing that I would think of fand recommend for Monga! It’s very rare to a restaurant that a broccoli alone could be part of the menu. As soon as it was being served – I dug on it and in no time – I finished them all. Oh well, I’ve lost tracked of time because I kept munching with my Fried Brocoli ‘til it was gone. Of course, there’s more with Monga!
Monga specializes in Taiwanese fares from chicken meals to sandwiches. Monga Fried Chicken is the #1 Taiwanese-style fried chicken, it was a thick slice of non-greasy fried chicken and yes, it was crispy and flavorful. The Taiker Signature Chicken, which covered with seaweed powder and comes with a Japanese sauce is the must-try! While, The King Signature Chicken (in Salt and Pepper Seasoning) brought back the memories of my food trip in Taiwan last month. I am such a happy gal to know that I could have an equally palatable dishes as in Taipei here in Metro Manila. Thank you, The Gourmet Lounge.
The memory of food tripping with my friends in a busy street of Hong Kong is what Siobee Roasters to me! Noodles with a variety of toppings to choose from such as chicken, duck, lechon Macau, dumplings, prawns, among others are worth a visit for a great dining experience; Hong Kong in Manila.

Nord’s
Pan-seared Salmon |
Nord’s offers a wide selection of modern Filipino cuisine, from pan-seared salmon to beef with mushroom sauce, calamares to adobo meal and a whole lot of food choices such as sisig, sinigang, pork belly to name a few. I ordered Beef with Mushroom Sauce for myself and that was very tasteful – meet was tender, sauce was creamy (not watery) and oh boy, a bunch of mushrooms on top of it.
